What Are You Stitching?

10TH APRIL 2026 - ASU #520

Maureen McMahon

‘I saw this pattern in All Stitched Up! issue 489 and wanted to let you know I made this when it was first published because it’s so beautiful. The project is Blooms by Robyn Rich, featured in Inspirations Magazine issue #17.’

This is certainly a throwback Maureen! The gorgeous Blooms was first published in Inspirations Magazine in 1998, and your recreation is every bit as impressive as the original, with precise stitching and high-quality finishes. Thank you for sharing this with us and for the trip down memory lane.

Jody Staszesky

‘I had some leftover drapery fabric that I used to finish the project below. I love how it matches the trim stitch on this design. I am from Libertyville, Illinois, USA and have been a longtime subscriber to Inspirations.’

You’ve taken Laurence Liebich’s Floral Symphony design and made it your own in a beautiful way, Jody. Your leftover drapery certainly does complement the trim stitch perfectly, and your embroidery is very impressive; you should be very pleased with the end result.

Elisabeth Bee

‘I did a version of the design Fritillary, Fennel & Scarab Beetle by Jane Nicholas, which appears on the front cover of Inspirations Magazine issue #126. I decided to do a butterfly instead of the lovely beetle because I had used single threads and stem stitch for the stalks and I felt the beetle was a bit heavy.’

‘I entered it in the local show and won second prize and then a cup in the handicraft section. I was so thrilled. I am now working on Naomi Small’s Little Angels from one of the Christmas magazines, Inspirations Magazine issue #124.’

Elisabeth, what a beautiful recreation of a stunning design, your butterfly adds a gorgeous personal touch and your prizes are certainly well earned. We hope you enjoy stitching Little Angels and would love to see them once done.

Have you stitched a design from the Inspirations Magazine archives? Do you make an effort to incorporate leftover fabric into your projects and designs? Or have you recreated one of the Inspirations cover projects?

Whatever you are stitching, we’d love to see it! Email photos of what you’ve created with needle and thread along with a few details about your stitching journey to news@inspirationsstudios.com
