More about this digital file
Description
Jacobean crewel embroidery is characterised by a profusion of richly coloured flowers and leaves, each one vying equally for attention but this gorgeous cushion gives centre stage to a large, single flower.
Worked with crewel wool onto a linen ground, shades of coral, flame red, terracotta and rose pink are used to stitch the flowers with soft greens providing a perfect contrast.
Backed with rust print cotton, the cushion is finished with a narrow, stitched flange.
